Customer Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your purchase of products from Connectea ("we", "us", "our"), operated by [Full Legal Name], ABN: [XX XXX XXX XXX], Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. By placing an order you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About Connectea
Connectea sells premium pyramid tea bags paired with Christian conversation cards, available as monthly subscriptions ("Subscription Box") and one-off gift purchases ("Premium Gift Box"). We also supply cafes and venues in bulk ("Wholesale Supply") — see the separate Wholesale Supply Agreement for those terms.
Our products are shipped to addresses within Australia only, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
2. Placing an Order
2.1 Orders are placed via our website at conecteaonline.com or such other channels as we notify from time to time.
2.2 By completing checkout and paying, you make a binding offer to purchase. We accept that offer when we send you an order confirmation email. No contract exists until that email is sent.
2.3 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion — for example, if a product is out of stock, if there is a pricing error, or if we suspect fraudulent activity. If we cancel your order, we will refund you in full.
2.4 Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
3. Subscription Products
3.1 Billing. Subscriptions are billed monthly on or around the same date as your original sign-up date. Payment is charged automatically to your nominated payment method.
3.2 Founding member pricing. If you joined at a founding member rate, that rate is locked for the life of your active subscription. If your subscription lapses and you rejoin, the then-current pricing applies.
3.3 What is included. Each dispatch contains the number of pyramid tea bags and conversation cards specified on our website at the time of your subscription. Contents, themes, and blends rotate monthly.
3.4 Pausing. You may pause your subscription for up to 3 months per year. Contact us at hello@conecteaonline.com before your next billing date. Paused months are not charged.
3.5 Cancellation. You may cancel at any time. Cancellations received before your next billing date take effect immediately and you will not be charged for the following month. Cancellations received after your billing date take effect the following cycle — no partial refunds are issued for the current billing period.
3.6 How to cancel. Email us at hello@conecteaonline.com. We will confirm cancellation within 2 business days.
4. One-Off Purchases (Gift Box)
4.1 Payment for one-off purchases is taken at the time of checkout.
4.2 No automatic renewal applies to one-off gift box purchases.
5. Delivery
5.1 We aim to dispatch all orders within 3–5 business days of payment being received.
5.2 Delivery times are estimates only. Once dispatched, delivery is in the hands of Australia Post / our carrier. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier.
5.3 Risk of loss passes to you when the parcel is handed to the carrier. If a parcel is lost in transit, contact us and we will work with the carrier to investigate.
5.4 Delivery is to Australian addresses only. PO Boxes are accepted.
5.5 We are not responsible for parcels delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
6. Your Australian Consumer Law Rights
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law ("ACL"). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the products repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights under the ACL.
7. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
7.1 Damaged or incorrect products. If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of receiving it at hello@conecteaonline.com with a photo. We will offer a replacement or full refund at your choice.
7.2 Change of mind. We are unable to accept returns for change of mind on food products, in accordance with standard food safety practices. This does not affect your ACL rights.
7.3 Subscription dissatisfaction. If you are unhappy with your subscription box, contact us. We will do our best to resolve the issue — this may include a replacement box or credit.
7.4 Refund processing. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. See Warranty & Refund Policy for more information.
8. Allergies & Food Safety
8.1 Our tea bags are repackaged in a domestic kitchen environment and may come into contact with common allergens. Full allergen information is printed on every product.
8.2 You are responsible for checking the ingredients and allergen information before consuming our products. If you have a serious allergy, please contact us before ordering.
8.3 Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. They are a food and conversation product only.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, product designs, conversation card text, and branding, is owned by or licensed to Connectea. You may not reproduce, copy, or use it without our prior written consent.
10. Privacy
We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at conecteaonline.com/privacy. By placing an order, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in that policy.
11. General
11.1 Variation. We may update these Terms at any time. Changes apply to orders placed after the updated Terms are posted on our website with a new effective date. Continued use of our website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11.2 Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms where the delay or failure results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, postal or carrier disruptions, industrial action, supply shortages, or
government restrictions.
11.3 Assignment. We may assign, transfer, or subcontract our rights and obligations under these Terms to another party, including in connection with a sale or transfer of the business. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
11.4 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
11.5 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your purchase, and supersede any prior discussions or representations.
11.6 Notices. Any notice you wish to give us under these Terms should be sent to

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
13. Delivery
Delivery of your order — including dispatch times, shipping costs, carrier details, risk of loss in transit, and what happens if a parcel is lost, delayed, or delivered to an incorrect address — is governed by our Shipping Policy, available at connecteaonline.com/policies/shipping-policy. Our Shipping Policy is incorporated into, and forms part of, these Terms. By placing an order, you agree to the terms of that policy.
